Closed Van Business Development Manager
Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential customers in the closed van sector through market research, cold calling, networking, and other lead generation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers in target companies, such as logistics managers, fleet managers, and procurement departments.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and features of our closed van services.
- Develop and negotiate sales proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements, ensuring profitable margins and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of closed van services, meeting customer expectations and service level agreements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, providing recommendations for business growth and competitive positioning.
- Monitor and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the management team.
- Continuously strive to enhance customer satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of at least 2 years in sales or business development roles, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of the closed van sector, including knowledge of market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with a demonstrated ability to secure new business and achieve revenue targets.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Selfmotivated and resultsoriented, with a strong drive for success and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, fostering a positive and highperformance work culture.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track sales activities, and generate reports.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit other company locations.
