Position Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor the financial performance of the company.
Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets.
Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.
Communicate financial metrics to senior management.
Provide financial leadership and direction to department Managers.
Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
Oversee and assist in daytoday accounting and finance responsibilities.
Supervise the project/sales administrative team in their daytoday activities and oversee their workflow processes.
Identify and prevent discrepancies within and help with the set up and maintenance of our internal control systems.
Prepare management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Research, assess and analyze business needs and requirements.
Analyze business processes, conduct cost/benefit analysis and measure business results.
Assist in yearend audit file preparations and annual financial statements.
Prepare and file monthly Canadian tax filings, HST, EHT, WSIB, etc.
Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
Analyze information from a variety of sources to isolate areas of risk and opportunity.
Conduct research and analysis of various data to support management decision making.
Assist with payroll and other duties as required.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
Accounting designation (CPA), or in process of obtaining.
4+ years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
Experience with Jonas and/or Texada (Systematics) is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Selfmotivated and selfdirected.
Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
