Description
The role of the civilian clerk is to take the burden of data entry away from frontline officers. This allows officers to spend more time on frontline services.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Not have any criminal charges pending before the courts
  • Be of good moral character
  • Be available to work shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Successfully pass the Selection Process
  • Ability to listen to and transcribe dictated reports
  • Analytical skills to identify conflicting information within reports and statistical data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including English composition, spelling and grammar
  • Typing and keyboarding skills (minimum 40 wpm)
  • Listening skills
  • Prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Stress management skills

The Hiring Process

  • Pass the CritiCall test a computerized multitasking exercise
  • Prebackground questionnaire & local focused interview
  • Psychological assessment and background investigation
  • Final review
  • Eligible for hire

The Civilian Data Entry Unit operates 24 hours a day. CDE clerks must be available to work alternating shift schedules, including weekends and statutory holidays.

This position reports to work in Orillia, ON. There is no option for remote work.

Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

From $27.72 per hour
