Description
_Systems Administrator I maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems. Administers, installs and troubleshoots a variety of operating systems. Being a Systems Administrator I performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance. Schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades. Additionally, Systems Administrator I configures software and resolves technical problems. Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements._Most system administrators start their career by pursuing a degree in computer science, IT, or engineering. In addition, many system administrators choose to get system or technology certifications in order to improve opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of supporting encryption tools;
- Ability to learn and support several GOTS communication products;
- Cloud;
- Microsoft Active Directory experience;
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of SQL databases and queries;
- Red Hat;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience managing backup solutions (Tape/Disk, etc.);
- Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus;
- Resourcefulness and problemsolving aptitude;

$35.54-$59.68 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
