The Peel District School Board (PDSB) is a racially, culturally and linguistically diverse board that serves 155,000+ students and approximately 17,000 employees.

In PDSB, 87% of students are racialized, non-white, representing 162 different ethnic backgrounds. Students in Peel have 121 different first languages. Student diversity also exists in terms of gender and gender expression, sexuality and in terms of ability and faith.

A responsive and empathetic understanding of the lived experiences of the students and communities we serve is vital to those who will take on leadership roles within the PDSB.

The workforce consists of teachers, office staff, custodial staff, education assistants and professional staff. The workforce is largely unionized through PDSB's numerous affiliated bargaining agents.

Do you have experience designing and building Azure-based solutions using Microsoft 365 tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Teams in an enterprise environment? If you answered "yes" to these questions, then this position might be right for you.

You will act as a liaison between the Collaboration Systems team and all stakeholders of the Board.

You will also be required to provide guidance to other staff.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Post-Secondary education in information Systems, Computer Science, or Equivalent experience.

3-5 years' experience architecting, designing and developing Azure-based software solutions

3-5 years' experience building solutions using M365 tools including SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps and Power Automate

3-5 years' experience architecting solutions that align with security-by-design best practices

Configuring and integrating Azure-based security tools and controls as part of enterprise, hybrid-cloud deployments

Identifying and assisting in the adoption of improved processes and documentation standards, both within the team and for other Board stakeholders

Development and planning of technology roadmaps

Automating interaction and data transfers with external and internal systems via REST API

Knowledge of data privacy and governance best practices and how to implement them through technology

Data integration and validation

Leading and participating in code and design reviews

Able to clearly and concisely communicate complex ideas and make well-informed and well-reasoned recommendations to the senior management team.

Demonstrated ability to effectively and persistently troubleshoot complex technical problems in enterprise systems.

Assisting, mentoring and training both technical and non-technical users

Working with business users to understand and document requirements and iteratively build solutions using an Agile development approach

Comfortable leading and participating in Quality Assurance and Code reviews.

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multitask, and define technology roadmaps with key milestones and timelines

Proven experience in quickly learning new software tools

Demonstrated experience working in a diverse community and/or work environment.


ASSETS:

Experience creating and updating existing Nintex forms and workflows, InfoPath, 2013 workflows, and 2010 workflows.

Experience creating/developing using C#, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery HTML, CSS.
