What You'll Do

At a high level


The Key Account Manager for our Pre-finished Wood Products (PWP) Business is responsible for sales, margin, market share, and international customer relationships for PWP.

This leader helps deliver sales volume and margin dollars through market knowledge, customer relationships, sales initiatives, and by matching our manufacturing capabilities with customer needs.


  • Grow penetration in manufacturingdirect sales, including to OEMs and plantspecific accounts with products such mouldings, door components, and doors.
  • Ensure Metrie penetrates select geographic markets where it can profitably achieve strong market share through customer intimacy.
  • Provide ongoing support and training of our Distribution and Retail teams to drive Metrie's Net Operating Income (NOI) associated with internally manufactured products.
  • Identify opportunities to sell new products we can produce.
  • Oversee daytoday sales, margin, analysis, and customer relationships of the Metrie's prefinishing business and responsibility to achieve our budgets.
  • Create and distribute periodic sales reports to ensure timely and effective communication of key sales metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing sales and production teams to satisfy customer fulfillment needs.

Location:
You will be based out of our Surrey operation.


We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 7+ years of sales experience in managing large customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully building and maintaining trusting relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills.
  • Be able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven ability to coach, lead and develop junior sales team members to achieve success.
  • Proven history in pipeline development, closing business and overachieving quota.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast sales results.
  • Understanding of technical sales to OEMs.
  • Demonstrated success working with and influencing and senior business leaders and decision makers.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to understand, utilize and create sales spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or experience.

Occupational Qualifications Required

  • Ability to freely travel to locations in the US and Canada, including overnight travel (estimated at 2530% of role regularly, with increased periods of travel as required.)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
