    Description

    Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist Sr - IFRS to join our clients team for a remote position. This is a temporary role . As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in managing the IFRS 17 process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting various closing processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the IFRS 17 process, including understanding requirements, developing logic, testing systems, and ensuring data accuracy.
    • Collaborate with third-party actuarial and in-house actuarial teams on data requirements and processing.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to align on new topics and manage the complex IFRS 17 process.
    • Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, providing explanations for variances and validating data.
    • Create and maintain official Guidelines and Practices manuals for products and entities.
    • Handle ad-hoc reporting and manage reporting to Brown & Brown (Captive Manager).

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 2+ years of experience in financial accounting analysis and reporting, with expertise in IFRS 17.
    • Understanding of actuarial roles in the insurance industry and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
    • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Ability to conduct large-scale projects, develop accounting policies, and apply analytical thinking.
    • Experience in the automotive and/or consumer product service contract sectors is preferred.
    • Additional qualifications such as a Master's Degree, CPA, ACCA, German language proficiency, and experience with Deloitte Finevare or Oracle Financials/GL Wand are advantageous.
    • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
