sprinkler fitters_ _to join our team We are looking for responsible, enthusiastic employees with knowledge of the fire codes regarding sprinkler systems._
Please note:
This is a union position. You must be registered with the sprinkler fitters union (local 853) to be eligible for employment. Salary range will reflect union agreements.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Prepares for service by reviewing job work order, gathering equipment, supplies, and tools
- Installs equipment for sprinkler systems by running pipe, installing sprinkler heads and control systems.
- Document's installation of equipment and completes forms for the office as required.
- Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns on site and answering site questions.
- Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices and company safety policy, including COVID protocols.
- Strictly keeps customer and company security information confidential.
- Keeps track of PO numbers, job receipts and other paperwork.
- Accomplishes organization goals as assigned by Supervisor.
- Communicates with the office in a timely and effective manner, keeps scheduling supervisor up to date on daily progress.
- Working service calls during and after regular work hours as rotation requires.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Registered sprinkler fitter with the college of trades
- Extensive knowledge of the operation of sprinkler systems and system equipment
- Knowledge of proper sprinkler system designs
- Minimum 2 years related Canadian work experience performing sprinkler inspections, installation, and service repairs.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong ability to trouble shoot and diagnose problems
- Ability to work well with team members or unsupervised within a flexible work environment
- Walk, stand, bend, stoop and/or lifting up to 50 lbs when needed
- Climb ladders, work from man lifts and tolerate heights as needed

Job Types:

From $45.00 per hour
