Position Summary:

Job duties are to:

  • Develop independently interdisciplinary research on ongoing projects, in full collaboration with team members and international collaborative Labs.
  • Develop novel ideas and/or open up new lines of relevant research and collaborate with Lab members in activities related to secure institutional funding.
  • Optimize, finetune, and perform/supervise experimental manipulations using cuttingedge technologies.
  • Collect, critically analyze, and interpret data derived from experiments.
  • Make regular Progress Reports and participate in the Lab Journal Club (internal Lab presentations), like all Lab Members.
  • Generate publications apt to be submitted to Journals of high Impact Factor.
  • Write/review reports, participate in grant proposals and whenever appropriate, be a cosigner of University Report of Inventions.
  • Participate in the Supervision of Undergraduate and Graduate Students.
  • Present findings at scientific meetings.
  • Proficiency in techniques such as biochemical assays, immunochemistry, confocal microscopy, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), ELISA, stereotaxic procedures, animal behavior, and cell culture.
  • Show creativity, selfmotivation, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communicational and organizational skills.
Other research and teaching duties may be assigned in consultation with your supervisor.
