About the Role:


You'll be working on things like:

  • Coordinating, receiving and troubleshooting live hits sent from remote hit sites.
  • Editing voice overs, bumpers, and other video elements as required.
  • Producing, preparing, and posting video for the web.
  • Recording and monitoring feeds.
  • Creatively work with graphics and production staff with the look and feel of the show.
  • Technical initialization, facilities checks and operation of camera robotics, video switchers, audio boards, character generators, Teleprompters, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
If you have the want to hear from you

  • Postsecondary education (or equivalent experience) in Journalism, Broadcast Technology, or a related field.
  • Must have strong broadcast technical knowledge.
  • Broadcast control room experience including switching, editing, audio, graphics, and camera robotics is preferred.
  • Experience working in Multi Market Content (MMC) and live control rooms considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of nonlinear editing systems.
  • Knowledge on multiple software and hardware systems: ENPS, GlobalGFX, Xpression-Stratus/Edius
  • Ability to work and show confidence in high pressure situations and attention to detail.
  • Possess strong and proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a strong team player with great communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of social media and online platforms as they relate to broadcast.
  • Be able to work a variety of shifts that include early mornings and weekends.
  • Desire to always push forward and try new things.
  • Ability to handle the demands and pressure of multiple, daily online and broadcast deadlines.
  • Class 5 License.
