General Position Description
The Clinic Administrator is a key position for any medical practice.
This person will ensure good business practices for the organization and will work alongside the clinical team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Position Accountabilities
- Strive to provide the highest level of patient support
- Be courteous to all patients, respond to all inquiries politely and professionally
- Obtaining all required medical information from patient in a timely manner
- Prep consultation notes, assist physician during the clinic day
- Confirming appointments
- Responsible for scheduling appointments
- Support clinic staff and patients with completing and submitting appropriate documentation as needed
- Assist with Operations Manager with daily tasks as needed
- Assist Patient Educators with patient follow up calls as needed
- Ensure patient files are up to date
- Provide guidance to patients when selecting a licensed producer
- Conduct followup calls to ensure the patient has been contacted by their chosen licensed producer and that they are following their treatment plan
- Stay up to date with all Licensed Producers and the products they offer.
- Providing education for patients prescribed medical cannabis via Telemedicine and inperson when appropriate
Additional Skills:
- Proactively trouble shoot, problem solve and complete projects independently
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills;
- Comply with Human Resource policies including confidentiality and nondisclosure;
- Work as a team or independently with mínimal supervision;
- Any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Education:
- Post secondary education or Bachelors Degree
- Strong understanding of Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations
Experience:
- 12 years working in a medical clinic or customer facing role
- Experience with sales and marketing in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, cannabis, or other regulated consumer products is an asset
Critical Skills:
- Experience working in a medical clinic and cannabis education is an asset;
- Proficient in English, along with strong written and oral communication skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiar with EMR systems;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Operate with the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics and discretion;
- Proven track record of working in fast paced, high pressure environments with the ability to prioritize;
- Must be flexible to support business needs and able to travel within the GTA
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay

- Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
