Centennial College - Progress Campus - Team Lead - Full Time

Supervising and managing Security personnel to ensure pass on books, binders, key sign sheets, etc. are all properly documented and followed

Following direction and requests from the Client and Coordinators in regards to training for Security personnel
Working closely with all employees, Coordinators, Client to ensure all training needs are being conducted
Produce records and reports on completed training material by individual employee
Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing college's rules and regulations when required
Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction on college campus, responding to emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries
Be an accurate and dependable resource having knowledge about services on campus
Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of Centennial College and Centennial Campus Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach
Be attentive to the needs of the student, faculty and staff incidents as well as be able to build relationships with the college community
Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the college's diverse community
Be able to facilitate an environment that allows students to meet their academic goals
Encourage students to make connections with College resources and the community by building a safe and supportive environment.
Help develop an atmosphere in which students have concern and respect for the right of others
Assist student, staff and faculty during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
Frequently inspect the campus for damage and report to management
Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly

Qualifications:

A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
First Aid/ CPR Level C
Proficient in English (both oral and written)
Vulnerable Sector Check
COVID Double Vaccination
