We are seeking a motivated Yard Associate to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in our sales operations by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:

• Provide knowledgeable and friendly assistance to customers.
• Answer inquiries regarding products, applications, and pricing.
• Assist with order selection and suggest complementary products.

Order Fulfillment:

• Accurately pick and assemble natural stone and paver orders.
• Safely load and unload customer vehicles, ensuring materials are secure.
• Operate a loader and forklift proficiently for product handling.

Shop and Inventory Maintenance:

• Keep the yard and shop organized, clean, and free of hazards.
• Participate in regular inventory counts and updates.
• Communicate inventory levels, shortages, and restocking needs to the Sales Manager.
• Update the office with order statuses and accurate weights for billing.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications Required:

• Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, including:
• Interlocking stone
• Aggregates (limestone, HPB, etc.)
• Soils and mulches
• Armour stone
• Landscape accessories
• Experience operating a loader and forklift (certification preferred).

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a yard, landscaping, or construction-related role.
• Ability to read and understand construction and landscape plans.

Job Details:

• Contract Length: 8 months
• Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: Overtime pay
• Benefits: On-site parking
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 3 years (preferred)

Work Location: In-person
