Momentum Developmental Support began as a residential-care system for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Our team quickly learned these vibrant, complex people didn't just need housing and supervision. Rather, they needed a team who understood their abilities and mental health experiences. So we adapted, to meet our clients where they are and focus on enhancing futures.

Responsibilities

• As a Developmental Support Worker, you are part of the Momentum Community. Work with clients to maintain safe and healthy lifestyles.
• Promote independence based on individual programming through recreational, learning, physical fitness, and money management activities.
• Create a positive, engaging environment where FUN is a part of the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset).
• Experience in a support role with adults, preferably those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders (asset).
• Driver's license is required, along with a medical report (including immunization record and TB skin test), a record of conduct, a vulnerable sector check, and Emergency First Aid AED/CPR Level C certification.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: $19.08 per hour, as per the collective agreement.
