YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Oversee the entire compensation and rehabilitation process for employees;
  • Manage the physical and mental health and safety program to ensure compliance with all legal requirements;
  • Ensure coordination and financial followups related to the CNESST rate and assessment;
  • Ensure that managers comply with legislative and regulatory requirements such as the AIAOD, AOHS, AOHSM, RROHS, and SCCW;
  • Provide guidance to management on occupational health and safety matters;
  • Establish the direction, goals, and priorities for the department by incorporating innovative approaches and best practices;
  • Offer strategic support based on expertise and monitoring of both internal and external environments;
  • Develop proactive management strategies, enhance practices and processes, and establish strategic partnerships with clients;
  • Manage the financial, human, and material resources under their jurisdiction;
  • Create monitoring tools and performance indicators for occupational health and safety;
  • Keep track of and stay uptodate on developments in their field.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, industrial relations, administration, law or a relevant field related to occupational health and safety;
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience, including four years in a management position*;
  • Have significant achievements in relation to the challenges of the position;
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for travel;
  • Fluency in French, both oral and written;
  • Membership in the Ordre des CRHA-CRIA (an asset);
  • Any combination of education and experience deemed relevant may be considered;
