    Occupational Therapist - Permanent Full Time

    Five Counties Children's Centre (FCCC) has been dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical, developmental and communications needs for nearly five decades.

    In partnership with families and communities, we provide outpatient and community-based services with the aim of enriching the independence and wellness of those we serve ~ Building Abilities for Life.

    We are accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Occupational Therapist in our Peterborough location.

    In this position, you will assess, treat, provide consultation to and discharge children and adolescents referred for occupational therapy providing both school based, in-centre and/or fee-for service.

    You will provide consultation, training and education to clients, their caregivers and other professionals.

    You will also have the opportunity to participate as a member of the department, clinical multidisciplinary teams and resource committees to promote quality service for clients.

    Assess, treat, provide education and training to caregivers and other professionals; Comply with relevant Centre statistical, clinical and administrative reporting requirements in a timely manner.

    Supervise occupational therapy interns and rehab assistant students.
    Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information pertinent to the children and families served by the Centre.
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
    Paediatric, in-centre and school-based rehabilitation service experience considered an asset, but not required.

    Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work as part of a team with professionals, support staff, and other community agencies.

    Solution Focused Coaching training is considered an asset.
    ADP individual authorizer status, NDT certification, etc.).
    Clear vulnerable sector check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.
