1‐ Full Time‐ IT Network Administrator

Information Technology
Plans and coordinates activities, work and projects with Network Administrator and IT Support Specialists in order to

assure timely completion of work, projects and priorities, and supervise Systems Specialist staff. The Systems

Administrator will work closely with the IT Director, IT Network Operations Manager and other departmental decision

makers to identify, develop, implement and support technology solutions.

The Systems Administrator will provide supervision of the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of our

systems and server infrastructure, ensuring work is performed consistent with budgetary goals and objectives.

Responsible for maintaining and following detailed procedures and developing strategies for improving customer

services and quality of service delivery.

The Systems Administrator also leads small IT teams, manages projects and provides Tier 3 support to other IT staff

and end users.

Employment Requirements

Education

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
  • Desirable Certifications: Industry standard Systems certifications with an emphasis on VMWare, Citrix, Enterprise
Storage solutions, ITIL Foundations, PMP

Experience

  • Minimum five years related work experience
  • Specific knowledge/experience in a clinical service or health‐related business service an asset.
Skills (in addition to behavioural competencies identified above)

  • Strong technical knowledge of backup operation software, enterprise storage solutions, Microsoft Administration
and VMware technologies.

  • Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, server configuration, protocols and standards including
IP networks, switches, routers and firewalls

  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
  • Financial management skills
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional Project management and time management skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a time critical environment
  • A highly developed customer‐first, team‐orientated, positive attitude
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Initiative and leadership skills with a strong commitment to customer service
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Salary Range:
$40.803 to 48.003
