Course description:

This course is designed to let engineering students learn the necessary skills for success in business and discover if they have the appetite to become successful intrapreneurs/entrepreneurs.


The approach to teaching this course is based on real-life business experiences and years of successful practice of "what we preach." The course contains very little theoretical material or academic approaches.

It is designed to familiarize the students with the kinds of opportunities (problems) likely to be encountered in an entrepreneurial career.

Approximately 30 students

Class schedule:
Two Week intensive course; timetable to be determined.


Sessional date of appointment:
Summer Session 2024.


Salary:
Minimum level of pay is $9, Sessional Lecturer I), which includes vacation pay, and may increase depending on applicant's level of experience and suitability for the position.


Qualifications:
Trained engineer with demonstrated success in entrepreneurship. Expertise in market research and in business model development. Proficiency in Business Model Canvas or equivalent. Expertise in financial cash flow projection.
Applicants must be able to deliver the course online and in-person.

Brief description of duties:

Duties include: preparation of lectures and course materials for online delivery; delivery of lectures; possible supervision of Teaching Assistants; setting and marking of projects, tests and exams; evaluation of final grades; contact with students.
