Description
Serve to support security teams in Canada Manage threat assessments for Client operations

  • Oversee small teams of security personnel at corporate offices
  • Responsible key performance indicator reporting
  • Manage executive protection of key Client personnel
  • Assist in managing senior corporate relationship and performance of security suppliers to Client
  • Support Client's other business units in Canada
  • Implement key security strategies for the Client.
  • Assist in the management of quality assurance of physical security components such access control, guards, technical security, and perimeter barriers
  • Draft / update / execute security management plans
  • Review security procedures and guides on regular intervals and update as needed
  • Locally manage security crisis situations as a representative of the Enterprise Security team
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable energy sector requirements
  • Prepare documentation and conduct regular updates to management as directed
  • Conduct Security risk assessments and or security vulnerability assessments
  • Review, evaluate and analyze securityrelated industry information from a wide variety of sources.
  • Participate in emergency response and planning activities; to include on site participation with expectations of physical activities for several days
  • Participate in large corporate event security planning and execution
  • Develop and deliver securityrelated training and education
  • Respond to client requests for proactive and reactive security support
  • Prepare detailed reports of investigative findings
  • Prepare and update security process related documents

Requirements:


Required

  • Bachelor's degree or similar postsecondary education and a minimum of 710 years progressively responsible experience including experience in areas such as emergency response, training, operations, regulatory, threat intelligence, security management, and program development
  • Have a demonstrated network of law enforcement and intelligence contacts in the region
  • Expert in conducting security risk assessment and or security vulnerability assessments
  • Strong knowledge of security and regulatory requirements applicable to the energy sector
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of drafting security standards and other similar documents with little to no oversight/assistance in a manner that succiently conveys highly specialized messages in a way other stakeholders are able to understand and operationalize.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred

  • Post graduate degree
  • Security industry certifications such as CPP/ PSP
  • Contract and project management
  • Have a demonstrated network of security professional in leadership positions
  • Government issued security clearance
  • Leadership skills necessary to successfully implement and drive change
  • Be a member of industry corporate security organizations
  • Good external/public relations and communications skills
  • Preference may be given to an inclusive professional knowledgeable of Indigenous culture, traditions, values, perspectives, and experience.
