Climbing Lessons Coach

Hours:
Tuesdays from 4:15 pm-7pm - opportunity for additional hours if desired

About:
ARC is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic coach for our Youth Rec Climbing Lessons. If you love children and being active, then this is the job for you

Our Youth Rec program provides a great way for children to learn how to climb and improve their skills. Sessions are 7 weeks long, and progress in difficulty.

What you'll do:

Create a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for all participants
Facilitate the delivery of structured lessons
Be responsible for communicating with parents as needed
Ensure all program policies and procedures are implemented and carried out in day to day operations
Provide additional site support through general maintenance, program set up, and other tasks as needed

What you'll bring:

Experience and enthusiasm in working directly with children
Experience climbing, and knowledge of basic climbing skills
A customerexperience mindset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with members, parents, and staff
Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment
Time management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and deliver programming goals
A strong desire to learn and improve
Current Standard First Aid and CPR-Level C
