Resource Development Manager


Resource Development Manager is a key role within Blue Door, contributing to the organization's growing capacity and ongoing leadership in reducing and ending homelessness.

The Manager will support all aspects of fund development with an emphasis on developing and executing a yearly giving plan to approach and engage individual and corporate donors.


What does a Resource Development Manager do?

  • Develop annual giving plan for individual and corporate donors, including goal setting, KPIs, and prospect pipeline.
  • Execute major donor solicitation, including asks, pitches, and presentations; build and nurture donor relationships.
  • Create customized funding proposals, stewardship reports, and manage donor recognition and stewardship plans.
  • Lead and manage fundraising campaigns such as Giving Tuesday and holiday direct mail efforts.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with the community, funders, and stakeholders; represent Blue Door when needed.
  • Stay informed about Blue Door's programs, housing issues, and effectively communicate with donors.
  • Maintain accurate donor data in the database for reporting; communicate Blue Door's goals to the community.
  • Support Resource Development Coordinator in organizing signature event and thirdparty fundraising.

What you bring to the table

  • 35 years experience in fundraising with a focus on major gifts, individual or corporate giving, or peertopeer fundraising.
  • Postsecondary education in fundraising, business, or a related field.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to deliver impactful touchpoints with different audiences.
  • Experience with various fundraising platforms and tools such as DonorPerfect and Salesforce is an asset.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, research skills, and ability to follow through with a high sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of the housing/homelessness sector and fundraising best practices are an asset.

Salary information:
$60,000 - $75,000
