GFL Environmental is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join the growing Liquids team in Hamilton, ON The role of this Customer Service Representative is to provide support and assistance to customers, GFL sales and operations teams to bring accurate, timely response and services to GFL customer base with GFL Environmental Services Liquids East Division.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with sales, logistics/dispatch, and operations to provide service to customers.
  • Collect detailed information from customers in order to provide accurate service.
  • Complete order entry in GFL operation system.
  • Prepare quotations for Customer Service house accounts and/or assist sales time to time with quotations.
  • Handle customer inquiries about services, invoices, quotations, and some smaller regulatory type questions (example: RPRA)
  • Stay uptodate and be open to continuous training.
  • Assist sales and operations with communications of offspec loads/materials to customers and additions to GFL system.
  • Connect customers to other GFL divisions to meet their service requirements.
  • Handle customer complaints and/or issues and elevate to manager when required.
  • Ensure Work orders are created on a timely basis and scheduled with the appropriate facility.
  • Support sales as required (Customer service/Sales Rep partnering to offer seamless service to customers)
  • Assist in updates to system for customer agreements.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:


  • College graduate in Environmental, Office Administration or similar area of study
  • Must have previous experience using Microsoft Office suite of programs (word, excel, etc)
  • Previous experience with operating systems (ex SAP) is an asset
  • Previous Waste Management experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of TDG is an asset.
  • Previous experience working part of a team in a large organization considered an asset.
  • Must be detailoriented and ability to problem solve/solution issues as they arise
  • Must be flexible to shifting priorities in a fastpaced environment and work with mínimal supervision
  • This position is an inoffice position Monday-Friday
