As a
Manager,
Exposure and Capital Analytics, you will maintain and improve the accuracy of RWA (risk weighted assets) measurement, a key mandate of GRM (Global Risk Management).

One of the manager's main responsibilities is to assess current measurement methodologies, calculations, data, and processes for regulatory capital benchmarking to industry best practices and lead/support enhancement initiatives.

The manager will also work with other team members to manage the production of bank's internal capital results and assist model/process development/enhancement and parameter calibration.


What you'll do in this role?

  • Review and benchmark regulatory capital methodology/process/data to industry best practices for business banking, retail and capital markets products.
  • Work with business lines, finance, Basel office, credit policy and other business partners to identify capital enhancement opportunities and assess feasibility and impact.
  • Work on Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for the RWA optimization opportunities for implementation; prepare and present educational slides to different groups on the Basel OSFI standards/guidelines
  • Work with IT, data governance, finance to develop a plan for capital enhancement; Coordinate the plan execution and manage communication and implementation.
  • Keep abreast with specialized knowledge of Basel II / III, OSFI Capital Adequacy Rules (CAR) rules, risk management and financial products under advanced and standardized approaches.
  • Develop business intelligence tools and analytics (e.g. Power BI) on capital regulation changes or business impact (Basel IV) to senior management and business lines.
  • Work together with other team member to manage the production of bank's internal capital results and assist model/process development/enhancement and parameter calibration.
  • Lead or assist bank's profitability modelling as the SME for regulatory and economic capital
  • Take a central role in the development of bank's capital analytical and reporting tool across various risk types.
  • Maintain/Develop bank's internal capital modelling methodology and production for credit risk (business banking, CCR and domestic retail)

What we're looking for?

  • Superior critical thinking ability and the ability to work under tight timelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven problem solving skills required.
  • Knowledge in regulatory capital, credit risk metrics, and quantitative finance is highly desired.
  • Knowledge and experience in data analytics, machine learning, and Artificial intelligence is desired. Strong programming skills in SQL, Python or R are desired.
  • Completion or progression in the CFA and FRM programs are assets.
  • Demonstrated accountability.
