    Technical Support Representative

This is the job for you We are currently looking for a Technical Support Representative for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

    Responsibilities:
    Provide support for all reported end-user related incidents. Diagnose and resolve client-reported problems associated with End User Computing services (desktop, laptop, printer, peripherals, enterprise applications).
    Conduct inventory control and lifecycle asset management for end-user computing devices. Manage the inventory control system, participate in audits, prepare detailed reports for inventory validation, and execute asset procurement activities.
    Execute the PC refresh strategy. Organize desktop and notebook hardware refresh activities for end users according to predetermined timelines. Coordinate and schedule refresh work, ensuring compliance with established procedures for hardware device refresh.
    Process and fulfill client service requests for Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes, & Deletes. Execute service request types within established response targets. Schedule work associated with the request considering business priorities and client availability.
    Participate in key software and hardware deployment projects. Work as part of broader technology initiatives, playing a service deployment role for major implementations, such as PC operating system upgrades, security software upgrades, and enterprise application rollouts.
    Manage and maintain support procedures and operational documentation. Ensure procedural documentation is current and accurate.

    What you will need to succeed:
    Technical education and training resulting in certification (product-specific, vendor-specific, or technical courses) in any area of support for personal computers, including computer operating systems, computer hardware repair, and PC configuration.
    Demonstrated knowledge and skills with PC operating systems (specifically Windows XP and Windows 7), computer hardware repair, and device connectivity (TCP/IP, network adapter configuration).

    Solid understanding of network (WAN, LAN, VPN) and telephony systems.
    Working knowledge of enterprise software tools such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, and Internet
    Explorer.

    1 year of field support experience in end user support, software support, computer hardware configuration and/or repair, Help Desk / Service Desk support.
    Experience in customer service.
    Effective communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
    Experience interacting and working with third-level technicians/engineers and external vendors is a plus.
    Demonstrated experience managing competing demands and working in a fast-paced environment.
    ERC is required.
