Senior Content Editor Needed – Unifying & Elevating Islamic Learning App Curriculum (Urgent)Job Description
I am building a structured Islamic learning app and need a strong content editor to review, refine, and unify lesson content that has been written by multiple freelancers.
Because different writers have contributed to this curriculum, the tone, depth, clarity, and engagement level can vary. Some sections are excellent. Others are weaker, repetitive, overly generic, or slightly AI-sounding.
Your role is to:
- Unify the voice and tone across all lessons
- Strengthen weak or flat sections
- Improve clarity and flow
- Remove repetition and fluff
- Eliminate obvious AIgenerated phrasing
- Ensure the content feels natural, human, and engaging
- Flag any theological inaccuracies or unclear explanations
- Flag anything politically sensitive or potentially problematic
- Review quiz questions for clarity, alignment, and quality
You are elevating the material.
If a section is boring, stiff, or generic - improve it.
If something feels robotic - rewrite it.
If something lacks depth - strengthen it.
You may use AI tools to assist your workflow if helpful, but the final output must feel fully human, structured, and coherent.
Each lesson includes:
600–800 word educational article
Structured headings
A short quiz (multiple choice and sometimes short explanations)
Tone target:
Clear
Engaging
Beginner friendly
Substantive but not overly academic
Not preachy
Structured and intentional
Urgency
This is time-sensitive.
Ideally, I would like the first full review completed by the end of this weekend.

What I'm Looking For
You should:
Be an excellent structural editor, not just a proofreader
Have strong command of English writing and narrative flow
Be confident improving weak writing
Be comfortable working with Islamic content respectfully
Be able to identify AI-style phrasing and remove it
Have good judgment when flagging sensitive or problematic material
Bonus (but helpful):
Experience editing educational curriculum
Familiarity with Islamic terminology
Document Access
The full curriculum document will not be publicly shared in this listing.
Shortlisted candidates will receive a private Google Doc link to review before final confirmation.
Scope
This may begin with a defined batch (e.g. one full category) and expand if the quality is strong.
There is also potential to:
Suggest structural improvements
Recommend lesson expansions where needed
Improve category coherence
(We will keep initial scope focused on editing.)
