THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Senior Advisor, PSP Strategy and Operations CANSOFCOM, the Manager, Human Performance Delivery, plans, manages, controls and evaluates the operations and delivery of Base/Wing/Unit (B/W/U) physical fitness, reconditioning and specialized services tailored to meet the needs of CANSOFCOM.

The Manager, Human Performance Delivery, plans, manages, controls and evaluates the operations and delivery of B/W/U sports, recreation and aquatics programs tailored to meet the needs of CANSOFCOM.

The Manager, Human Performance Delivery, advises and guides B/W/U Commanding Officers (CO) on fitness, reconditioning or enhanced physical performance. She/he partners with medical authorities and stakeholders on remedial fitness training, rehabilitative and reconditioning programs.


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**Master's degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Human Movement, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy or a related field
AND some years of experience in physical fitness and sport administration or in a related field

OR

Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Human Movement, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy or a related field
AND several years of experience in physical fitness and sports or in a related field


AND
Current CSCS-NSCA certification

Current CSEP-CEP certification


Experience
In planning, managing, controlling and evaluating the operations and delivery of high performance, specialized physical fitness services and programs

In planning, managing, controlling and evaluating sports, recreation, aquatics and water safety programs.

In working as part of an inter-professional team involving medical and high-performance assets

In leading and managing high performance and reconditioning services

In the assessment and evaluation of sport specific (SOF specific) demands

In group facilitation, training and team building

In collecting, analyzing and reporting data for program evaluations.

In strategic business and financial planning

In budget administration

In project management

In personnel administration

In marketing fitness programs

In managing facilities

In inventory control and loss prevention

In preparation and conduct of specialized physical fitness training sessions

In managing the delivery of physical fitness evaluations
