Description

Norwood Foundry Limited is a leading quality castings and waterworks company operating out of Nisku, AB - just south of Edmonton.

We are celebrating our 117th anniversary this year and we are so excited to keep growing and expanding our team.

We are currently hiring a Labourer for a full-time, permanent position

This is a Permanent Full-Time position, hours are
Monday to Friday 5:30AM to 2:00PM.

Starting wage is at $24.00/hr.

General Tasks Include:

Following gauge temperature readings and product criteria to cast molds.
Clean and smooth molds, cores, and core boxes, and repair surface imperfections.
Spot, fit and assemble various mold components to close tolerance using hand and power tools.
Position cores into sections of molds and reassemble molds for pouring.
Tend machines that bond cope and drag together to form completed shell molds.
Cut spouts, runner holes, and sprue holes into molds.
Any other duties assigned by the business.

Requirements:

Not required but experience working in a Foundry is an asset.
Not required but experience in a Molding/Core Maker role is an asset.
Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standards is an asset.
Good physical condition, capable of repetitive lifting and physical labor.
Able to work in an environment that may include exposure to dust, moving mechanical parts and noise.
Strong skills in measurements and mechanical aptitude
Strong attention to detail and one who takes pride in their work.
Odd jobs as required to meet the needs of he business.
