And we're counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

Despite the best efforts of internal controls and risk departments, corporate fraud continues to challenge businesses across the globe. From asset misappropriation to financial statement fraud, no company is immune.

When facing acts of fraud, government regulatory inquiries, major litigation or transactional disputes, clients know that we have the investigative experience they need, when they need it.

The opportunity

Your key responsibilities

Because all clients have unique issues, it's no exaggeration to say you'll never be doing the same type of investigation for too long.

You'll be part of a team that works with our clients' legal counsel, internal audit and compliance departments investigating complex issues and developing practical solutions that address operational challenges.

It's all about using your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients' needs from the front lines.

Reporting to the Associate Partner, your primary duties will be to:

  • Work with clients, fraud investigators, internal & external auditors, lawyers and regulatory authorities in sensitive and sometimes adversarial situations.
  • Work on client engagement teams to proactively help clients in resolving issues that are significant to their business.
  • Find innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Inform supervisors of the engagement status, and participate in engagement planning and service delivery.
  • Deliver consistent quality service to our clients.
  • Maintain a strong client focus and maintain/develop productive working relationships with clients.
  • Develop people through teamwork, integrity, and leadership.
  • Stay informed of business/economic developments and their impact to the client.
  • Develop people. Foster an efficient, innovative, and teamoriented work environment.
  • Achieve growth. Understand Ernst & Young's service lines and actively seek/encourage team members to identify opportunities for Ernst & Young to provide quality services.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion, when necessary.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A completed CPA or CFE designation
  • A minimum of 5 years of auditing background within a professional services firm and of relevant experience in Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services
  • Substantial knowledge of a wide variety of PCbased tools, including databases (Access) and spreadsheets (Excel)

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • Tenacious, with a desire to 'get to the bottom' of things.
  • Able to work accurately to a high level of detail.
  • Possessing excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Adaptable, able to interact and build strong relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Possessing strong desire to learn and continue expanding own skill set.
  • Professional and/or internship experience in fraud and forensic accounting is preferred.

What we look for

We're interested in passionate people that have the intellectual curiosity to actively pursue new knowledge in the rapidly changing world of fraud investigations.

Naturally you'll need a solid technical foundation, as well as the ability to translate complex information into meaningful, actionable insights.

But we're not just looking for strong technical skills - we're interested in people that have the ability to nurture relationships, both internal and external, and are committed to intimately understanding our client's needs.
