  • The Operations Representative delivers stellar service to internal and external clients by administering a full range of operations transactions associated with various departments within Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) such as, settlements, new accounts, account transfers, registered products, credit, treasury and mutual funds, control services, etc. This team ensures daily tasks and complex issues are processed in a timely and accurate fashion while adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. This role works under moderate supervision and is responsible for completing daily work volumes within assigned scope of responsibility. Our FCC Banking team settles cash transactions that are issued to and from Fidelity. They are responsible for the processing of various debits and credits into the appropriate accounts. Reconciliation activities make up a significant component of this role. This role reports to the Manager of Operations.

  • Processes transactions and service client needs as per the performance expectations and measures of the department.
  • Deliver stellar quality customer service interactions to our internal and external customers to exceed their expectations and create a positive experience. Provide what was promised, dependably and accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work with various vendors to obtain the required information when investigating specific cases and in need for further detail to support a response to our introducing brokers, clients, and internal partners.
  • Follow policies and procedures to ensure compliance with our regulatory requirements. Minimize risk to the business by escalating issues to management
  • Using continuous improvement methodologies, continually searches for and takes initiative to improve and/or eliminate ineffective processes to improve customer service or gain efficiencies

  • Strong knowledge of various back
  • office processing Knowledge of compliance rules and regulations
  • Effective team player Adept at problem solving and the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously & efficiently
  • Takes Initiative, good judgment and attention to detail are required in ensuring timely resolution with mínimal exposure
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Solid computer skills including Excel
  • Sound knowledge of Canadian brokerage practices, debt and equity markets, and investment industry regulations
  • What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience 1 to 2 years' experience in operations and/or client services roles within the financial services industry, preferably in brokerage, and/or in the correspondent clearing and custody business.
  • Broadridge Dataphile knowledge is an asset
