About OSCP
One Silicon Chip Photonics (OSCPS) is a fabless Canadian company.

Founded in 2017, it focuses its activities on the development of Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), based on MEMS accelerometers and on chip Integrated-Photonics gyroscopes.

The company is now developing a fully integrated optical solution for the autonomous vehicle market.


OSCP is presently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Montreal Team to market our technology to a variety of industries such as automotive, drones and aerospace, maintaining and growing an existing customer base as well as prospecting and gaining new business.

The person who will be successful in this role should have familiarity with the technology and sales cycle requirements for these industries and have a strong commitment to building the pipeline for sales.


Key Qualifications
Service, support, and maintain existing client relationships

Actively prospect for new business within the drone, automotive, farming, aerospace and military markets

Understand and analyse market trends and requirements

Travel to various client sites, as needed, for relationship maintenance and support

Self directed in scheduling business development activities and marketing

Prepare marketing materials and presentations

Identify potential key customers and win new business opportunities


Cultivating positive and close customer relationships and give technical support to key customers in all phases of the sales cycle.

Build consortia and identify opportunities for public funded initiatives and commercial proposals.

Develop sales proposals and report on metrics to all stakeholders

Perform product training/demonstrations and provide details on features and benefits

Participate in trade shows and industry events

Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development


Mandatory Requirements
MUST HAVE 3+ years outside SALES experience, in hardware-related technology sector or related fields.

Strong relationship building skill set

Proven ability to grow existing accounts while prospecting for new business

Highly organized, with keen attention to detail

Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

Collaborate closely with management

Some international travel required


Positive Assets
Technical degree in engineering and/or business development experience in a technology driven organisation

Experience in developing partnership agreements and building collaborations

Specific sales training

You should have dynamic project management skills, adaptive to fast-pace start-up working environment and must be a team player

Self-motivated, strong time management skills in order to reliably deliver solutions within budget and tight timelines to meet customer's expectations

Strong participation as a team member as well as working independently; highly energetic and confident to convey a positive and professional attitude and demeanor in all interactions with others

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; highly effective in formulating and communicating concepts, ideas, strategy to internal / external parties

Experience in drone/robotics, automotive or aerospace will be an asset

Bilingual French/English an asset.

$100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
