Financial Controller Position Details
- Overseeing the operations of the accounting department
- Managing all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
- Coordinating and preparing job costing and internal financial statements.
- Providing management with information vital to the decisionmaking process.
- Maintaining the chart of accounts and internal control systems over accounting transactions.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database and data collections tools, as needed.
- Overseeing monthly sales and payroll tax compliance.
- Overseeing the payroll functions and full cycle of accounts payable and receivables
- Monitor daily cash balances to ensure requirements are met.
- Developing the team and improving their performance through coaching/feedback.
- Assist in hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
- Perform special assignments as directed by the Ownership and Management.
Education & Experience
- CPA with minimum of 5 years experience with progressive leadership attributes
- Experience working for a General Contractor in the construction industry preferable.
- Experience supervising financial professionals and clerical staff.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and controls.
- Experience with Spectrum preferable
- Advanced user of the MS Office Suite
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
