Description

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring packaging department priorities are set and followed through direction given to the shift lead hands.
  • Maintain schedules for recut and roll correct operations.
  • Purchase and maintain levels of packaging supplies.
  • Interaction with the production team and scheduling to meet on time delivery expectations from customers.
  • Responsible for Health and Safety initiatives for their departments.
  • Work with the shipping coordinator to schedule Extrudex's trucking fleet and meet delivery expectations while maximizing load efficiencies.
  • Responsible for maintaining the truck and trailer fleet
  • Ensure that trucks, trailers and drivers meet the safety requirements under Ontario legislation.
Job specific requirements.

  • Knowledge of current Ontario Health and Safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of current Ontario transportation regulations and requirements.
  • Previous logistics experience including cross border regulations.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer skills.

  • DZ or AZ training
  • Flatbed experience
  • Purchasing experience
  • Aluminum extrusion experience
