Job description
The Role:The Procurement Officer will play a critical role in managing the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This position involves collaborating with various departments to understand their procurement needs and developing strategies to meet those needs efficiently.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement support.
Team Structure: You will work closely with the finance, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless procurement operations.
Ideal Profile:The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical and interpersonal skills, along with a strong educational background in procurement or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Analytical skills for market research and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
