    Schedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays

    Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Field Surveying and Data Collection: Conduct field surveys to create layouts for drilling, blasting, loading, and dumping areas, as well as for pit dewatering. Perform wall monitoring to assess and ensure structural stability.
  • Drone Operations: Operate aerial drones for topographical mapping and active mining area monitoring, adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date survey data and drawings using AutoCAD, MineSight, and other relevant software.
  • Reporting and Support: Provide detailed reports to supervisors regarding operations feedback, particularly in loading and dumping areas. Provide support with mine planning and project development to optimize mining operations and enhance operational efficiency.

    Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Engineering, Mine Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 2-5 years experience surveying within mining or similar heavy industrial environments.
  • Transport Canada RPAS Advanced (Drone) license is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with computer software and applications relevant to surveying, such as AutoCAD, GIS programs, and mine planning tools like MineSight.
  • Ability to manage both field and office-based survey tasks efficiently.
  • Valid Drivers License, with experience operating vehicles in mining or heavy industrial environments under various weather conditions.

    Technical Competencies & Skills

  • Able to work 12-hour shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Proven safety and attendance record.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency using various software and applications.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to build strong working relationships internally and with diverse groups.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.

    Wage and Benefits

    Conuma Resources takes pride in providing industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that truly values our employees. Specifically for Mining EITs, we offer an annual base salary range of $90, $105,000.00,along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.
