Description

Willowbrae Academy Franchise Offices is currently seeking applicants to fill the role of Program and Policy Coordinator.


The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Quality Assurance & Education and the Director Franchise Development to offer industry best practice program and policy support for the Willowbrae education system and Academies.


The Program Coordinator will possess:


  • A current ECE license to practice;
  • A current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check or willing to obtain prior to employment
  • Educator experience with ages groups infant, toddler and preschool
  • An understanding of Emergent, High Scope, Montessori methods of learning
  • Considerable knowledge of Provincial Childcare Licensing
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in Canadian Childcare
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent research skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations of MS-Office suite
  • Strong computer skills or ability to learn

Responsibilities

  • Program Planning and Development
  • Develop a quarterly work plan with timelines and submit to the management team
  • Coordinate and implement a work plan to develop Willowbrae policies and procedures, program objectives, and program deliverables
  • Report to and work in cooperation with the Director of Quality Assurance & Education and the Director Franchise Development
  • Implement and provide guidance and support related to Policy and Procedure development
  • Participate in the planning of Professional Development programs
  • Prepare and submit new policy and process documents, including the research of provincial regulations and industry best practices
  • Ensure clients compliance with regulatory requirements; and prepare audit reports
  • Assist with Franchisee and Director training
  • Assist with Franchise startup methodology and marketing
  • Special Projects

  • Follow the philosophy of the Willowbrae Academy program and be able to communicate its goals and objectives to others
  • Attend regular staff meetings for the purpose of systems improvement, design, and planning
  • Keep all information pertaining to company software confidential
  • Dress suitably at all times following corporate dress code policy
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of this position;
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Develop and maintain respectful, positive, and supportive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Has a clear understanding of best practices relating to Licensed Childcare Programs, regulations, and policies.
  • Keep current with policy, health and/or social issues, trends, research, and practice impacting Willowbrae Childcare Programs;
  • Oversee and maintain policy and process documentation through proactive research and planning
  • Be responsible, under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and the Director Franchise Development, for Policy development, identifying ongoing strategic initiatives, developing new procedures, policy documents, and procedure implementation.
