Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure maintenance of paddocks, track rails, horse paths, walking ring, railing and other racing related items
  • Clean facility and outside grounds, pick up paper and leaves
  • Assist with landscaping, sodding water, cutting grass, planting, weeding, raking
  • Clean and maintain roadways, catch basins, paddock stalls, eaves troughs and signage
  • Clean paddock cross, woodchips and walking ring area
  • Clean equipment
  • Pick up and deliver supplies, materials and equipment and unload trucks
  • Assist tradesmen with repairs and maintenance
  • Complete work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Customer Service: demonstrate service excellence by consistently delivering timely, quality work and team responsiveness
  • Demonstrate and model professionalism, courtesy, consideration and respect to internal and WEG customers
  • Respond in a timely and effective manner to unexpected and immediate needs of customers
  • Consistently uphold and demonstrate safety rules and standards as designated by department
  • Advise Supervisor/Manager of any occurrences which may compromise positive customer relations
  • Report faulty equipment to departmental management
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improving service or operational performance to departmental management
  • Other related service duties or responsibilities may be assigned on business requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must have and maintain a valid Ontario drivers license "G" or "G2"
  • Must possess and maintain a valid AGCO license
  • Solid understanding of WHMIS and Health and Safety procedures
  • Able to understand, read, write and converse effectively in English
  • Available for shift work, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Able to lift up to 50
