Summary:


Our team is growing We are looking for an HR generalist to have a constant HR presence for our Ontario team members You will work in collaboration with 4 team members in Quebec.

We manage the Fransyl Group which includes several companies. Travel to Quebec may be required. You will walk from site to site about 20 minutes by car.


Responsibilities:


  • Participate on cycle recruitment and onboarding of new teammates Ontario including active participation in the interview, obtaining employment refences, facilitating the hiring
  • Process criminal and reference checks
  • Provide HR advise, support to managers and employees on matters related to HR policy, practices, legislation, performance management, goal setting, employee relations and employee engagement.
  • Write job descriptions
  • Lead Group Benefits administration and other programs as necessary
  • Organize different social activities as a team
  • Implement and assist in the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
  • Provide assistance and support to employees that have questions or concerns
  • Help for Security management; create and update policies; train and support staff during introduction of new protocols, processes and personnel; ensure staff have necessary tools to perform their duties; in consultation with staff at the head office
  • Make the work sheet for payroll and send it to the payroll department, (leave, vacation, illness, bonus, etc.)
  • Write letters and disciplinary notices
  • Implement actions for continuous improvement, develop efficient management tools such as performance management.
  • Other duties as required

Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related program and/or experience;
  • 3+ years in Human Resources preferred;
  • Strong listening, oral and written communication skill
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and procedures;
  • Bilingualism an important asset (French/English)
