We are currently searching for a Maintenance Care Partner, to join our
Shasta Care Community in the City of Edmonton, Alberta. Maintenance is responsible for the day-to-day operations and delivery of high-quality maintenance services.
Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:
- Flexible and a willing to modify services for the overall good of the Residents and Community
- Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention; adheres to safe work practices and procedures
- Providing services in a manner that demonstrates the principles of appropriate choice, dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values
- An ability to move freely lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortably stoop, kneel while following proper protocols
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Install appliances and equipment
- Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Assist with Inspection & troubleshooting of equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation)
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm)
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
- Coordinate and assist if required in the Move In/Move Out/Orientation process for Residents
- Ensuring that services are provided in accordance with best practices, our Well-Being Strategies, quality improvement guidelines, and regulations/standards
- Strives to attain excellence in Care Partner satisfaction of the maintenance services through ongoing solicitation, surveys, and measurement of feedback
- Makes improvements in the overall coordination of the Community's maintenance services
- Being a team builder, active listener, and an important resource to our community
- Engaging Care Partners in aspects of maintenance experiences, helping everyone become wellknown to one another
- Assisting with daily life within the Community, as needed, such as supporting spontaneous activities, and leading Learning Circles
- Coordinate and assist if required in the Move In/Move Out/Orientation process for Residents
Skills and key deliverables that will take you further:
- Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent
- Experience in maintenance services required
