Alternative & Plan "B" Eyewear are looking for an individual to fill the position of Collections Specialist.
Please note this is not a remote position at this time.

Seeking a well-organized, punctual and dedicated collections specialist to oversee the general credit worthiness of customer accounts, monitor aging balances and ensure payment is received and applied in prompt fashion.

Able to provide strong customer service as the "face" of the accounting department and effectively administer soft collections as necessary.

Willing to build and foster relationships with customers and employees to ensure accounts stay in good standing.

This job offers a fast paced work environment where the individual will be responsible for the following:

Collections Calls to Canadian and USA Customers
Answering Customer Inquiries regarding statement of account
New account opening & Closing in QuickBooks
Credit Checking where applicable for bad debts, collections history etc.
Monitoring aging of accounts, assigning credit holds and release once payment obtained
Year End Bad-Debt account clearing
Monthly Statements Mailing Preparation
Demonstrated Collections Experience in North America
Strong QuickBooks skills and demonstrated experience
Intermediate knowledge of excel
Strong Customer service skills for resolving any billing or payment issues
Basic knowledge of accounting processes
Exceptional attention to Detail
Excellent communication skills with customers & fellow employee's
Strong Organization skills
Able to be focused, and work independently
Bilingualism in French is an asset. (Rate negotiable if Bilingual)
