THE POSITION

  • You are responsible for ensuring appropriate and timely credit authorization and approvals for all equipment orders nationally
  • You are comfortable as the liaison and communicator with customers finance institutions, obtaining and managing all confidential required credit information
  • You have experience with legal matters pertaining to the collection of accounts receivables
  • You have previously performed credit reviews, including analysis of customer financial statements, obtaining bank references to assess customers credit worthiness
  • You enjoy developing others, and have previously managed a team of collectors
  • You can support other finance teams and reporting as required, you are familiar with the management of inventory as a financial asset
  • You enjoy collaboration and easily connect and communicate with multiple leaders across an organization, from sales to service,
  • You understand the need to have adequate documentation of key tasks and ensure team members are cross trained on all duties
  • You have actively participated in the month/quarter/yearend closing process in the past, flexing your time and work to meet the needs of the business
  • You understand the need to be an effective communicator in a professional and respectful manner while building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally
  • You are a natural leader who has managed a team in the past, supporting, and coaching others to meet and exceed performance and quality standards

Qualifications

THE QUALIFICATIONS
You have at least five years of experience in accounting, with three years in a finance management role. You have a Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in accounting or related courses in Credit Risk Management. You are certified with the Credit Institute of Canada (FCI). You have a proven history in managing accounts receivables, understanding how to work within a matrixed, corporate environment. You have strong interpersonal skills, with strong quantitative abilities to match, comfortable with all accounting technology. You have high attention to detail with strong organizational skills, functioning well within a customer centric environment. You are an intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Teams). You have previous experience with credit bureau reporting.
