THE ROLE
The incumbent will prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with menus, established and standardized recipes, and production control charts.
The Lead Cook will assist with employee supervision, scheduling, hiring and training and ensures the kitchen is providing quality products and services in accordance with identified standards.
The incumbent will maintain stock and work with suppliers to obtain products at the best value.The incumbent will liaise with stakeholders to plan menus, including special events, in order to meet client needs and expand base catering services.
Comply with NPF policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**High school diploma AND several years of experience in the food service sector, or in a related hospitality field
Experience
- In commercial food service
- In food preparation and stock rotation
- In personnel administration
- In operating kitchen equipment
- In ordering and food storage
