Description

Our company is searching for skilled and self-motivated Manual machine operators who have attention to detail and a passion for producing quality manufactured parts.

You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools following engineering drawings and client standards.

Skills needed include machine setup, maintenance, monitoring and replacing tooling, operating machines according to safe and professional standards, and keeping records of the parts produced.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Read and interpret drawings to comprehend work. Speak English well enough to take instructions from supervisor and ask questions as required.
• Operate a Manual Lathe and Mill understanding the feeds, speeds and surface finishes required to produce quality parts.
• Set up machinery for expedited production
• Measure and verify all calculations prior to setting up the machinery, and verify measurements meet drawing specifications
• Complete routine maintenance of machinery
• Plan machining activities keeping in mind the work orders and engineering plans
• Safely load and unload castings and raw materials into the machinery
• Follow the machining process from the very beginning to the end to ensure quality of parts
• Isolate any piece that may not conform to the standards of the work order
• Troubleshoot machining problems during processes to ensure efficacy of procedure
• Create appropriate labor and time reports by following instructions provided by shop foreman or shop manager
• Contribute to the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the shop
• Maintain professional and ethical behavior towards staff, customers, and vendors
