Under the responsibility of the Supplier Quality Manager the Nortera Supplier Quality Specialist - Branded Products will be responsible for assuming and realizing the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Work closely with the Marketing and I&D teams on development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and approval of Del Monte, Arctic Gardens, and other co-manufactured products and facilities;
- Develop and conduct product cuttings along side the Marketing department of comanufactured Del Monte and Arctic Gardens products to ensure continuity of the brand quality and image;
- Provide direction to comanufactured product storage facilities on handling, sampling, sorting, and other quality requirements as needed;
- Act as a liaison between comanufacturers and storage facilities to ensure adequate management of nonconforming products (ie. product holds, claim requirements, etc);
- Management of the specifications for comanufactured products and other food materials as necessary and monitoring for adherence to the quality attributes as defined;
- Work in close cooperation with Supply Chain for all aspects of supplier qualification, audits and followup;
- Conduct Comanufacturer and other Supplier Facility audits relating to food safety and quality expectations of our global (Asia, Americas, European, etc.) partners and followup on required action plans as required;
- Maintain supplier approval processes, tools and methods, ensure that risk assessments are performed and supplier approval files are up to date and accurate with a focus on comanufactured materials (including Del Monte and Arctic Gardens) and Raw Materials (dry beans, ingredients, etc);
- Work on other continuous improvement quality systems projects as required by the Corporate Quality Department.
- Bachelor or technical degree in food science or other related field;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality and supplier management;
- A strong working knowledge of English and French is essential;
- Strong understanding of GFSI, HACCP and other food safety certification programs and regulatory requirements;
- Knowledge of Thermal processing;
- Knowledge of various processing technologies;
- Previous experience conducting Food safety and Quality audits.
