Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst to join us on a 12-14-month contract.

Reporting to the Director, Financial Systems, this role is responsible for supporting Finance Transformation initiatives, including the implementation of a new Finance ERP.

The team works in a hybrid/ agile manner for its project delivery and ongoing operations.

This role provides opportunities to work across the entire Finance function and gain exposure to many different aspects of the organization.


The Business Analyst will analyze existing systems, document requirements for new systems and features, and cultivate a business relationship that assists in meeting business demands.

The individual will also support and collaborate with Project Management and Change Management teams and engage in working with the system implementor and vendor partners.


As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Engaging Finance business clients to elicit business requirements and understand objectives

Documenting existing business processes, looking for opportunities to create efficiencies, and ensuring that System Integration partners understand the business needs.

Conducting gap analysis to propose process improvements and convert business requirements into functional specifications, use cases and test cases
Understanding and communicating the financial and operational impact of any changes
Communicating the effects of the changes to the associated parties and coordinate with partners on uncontrolled changes or deviation of project scope
Working closely with businesses for QA and UAT test plans, and performance and regression testing as required
Managing the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets enterprise SharePoint sites and supporting business functions to maintain their respective pages
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, teams, and partners
Collaborating with Project Management, Change Management, and functional support teams


To succeed in this role, you have:
University degree or equivalent experience (Business/Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering)
5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst on projects of varying complexity
Experience with Enterprise Finance processes and systems (e.g., Oracle EBS)
Experience implementing a cloud-based Finance ERP system
Experience in mapping business processes and driving business process improvements
Experience in the agile development process and have a familiarity with requirements techniques such as user stories, sprints etc.
Industry Knowledge of best practices - asking probing questions to understand the reasons for certain requirements, and communicating to technical teams accordingly
Knowledge of systems development life cycle, change management, IT processes and ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understood business language
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Exposure to tools such as Visio, Miro, DevOps, SharePoint, Power BI is a plus


Nice to have:

Knowledge of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets functions
Familiarity with Finance ERP software
