    Description

    Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join their team in a permanent full-time role. The perfect candidate will serve as the initial contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient front desk operation. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the clinic/hospital workflow, managing patient appointments, and delivering outstanding customer service.

    Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

    Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

    Location: Nepean

    Key Responsibilities

    • Welcome and assist patients and visitors courteously and professionally. Address patient queries and provide precise details about the clinic/hospital services.
    • Arrange, confirm, and oversee patient appointments using the clinic's electronic health record system. Ensure appointments are well-organized to optimize the providers' schedules.
    • Handle incoming calls, emails, and messages promptly. Direct inquiries to the relevant department or staff member.
    • Carry out administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry. Ensure patient records are current and securely stored.
    • Process patient payments, validate insurance information, and help with billing questions. Maintain precise financial records.
    • Facilitate communication among patients, medical personnel, and healthcare providers. Aid in coordinating referrals and follow-up appointments.

    Required Experience and Skills

    • Preferably a Medical Office Administration diploma.
    • 2 years of experience in a medical clinic environment.
    • Proficiency in Oscar medical electronic software
    • Knowledge of Word and Excel
    • Experience with Epic
