Description

The Accounts Payable Administrator will be primarily responsible for job costing on various projects, while also supporting the team with various accounting tasks including but not limited to, processing invoices, managing corporate credit cards, managing fuel cards, gathering approvals and supporting with month and quarter end.


Job Duties

  • Completes the endtoend process of cheque payment; Printing, signing, and delivery.
  • Facilitates efficient tracking and tasks management to ensure timely and accurate processing of cheques.
  • Works collaboratively and seamlessly with other pillars within Accounts Payable; understands endtoend process of invoice and supplier payments.
  • Looks for, and proactively works on, process improvements: automating manual processes, cleaningup worksheets and documents for easier review, processing, and approvals.
  • Escalates any matter as required if the resolution cannot be completed to the supervisor.
  • Helps develop a bestinclass Payment processing team by maintaining & upholding all company policies and departmental procedures, as well as demonstrating a level of professionalism and communication consistent with the expectation of a supervisor position.
  • Contributes to various clerical & administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:


  • A certificate or diploma in Business Administration or related course is an asset
  • 2+ years' experience & skills in Accounts Payable setting/ office environment
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate appropriately and effectively with team members, business partners and peers within all levels of the organization
  • Highly flexible with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills: written and verbal
  • Detail oriented with effective followup skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Professional appearance and manners
  • Ability to use general office equipment and familiar with accounting/ERP software
