***: Committed to premier-level customer service excellence, the Receptionist is the first point of contact for in-person or call-in visitors to Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) and the Aquilini Centre West Tower. This is a busy reception area welcoming visitors and callers from the general public, internal and external clients, customers, and VIP/high profile guests.


A typical day includes:

  • Acting as first point of contact at Aquilini Centre West Tower, 89 West Georgia (Main) Reception, including attending to all visitors and callers and providing a welcoming and professional experience both over the phone and face to face
  • Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming calls to a busy switchboard in a courteous and efficient manner, and accurately relaying messages when applicable
  • Arranging for and coordinating incoming and outgoing couriers
  • Administering break and vacation coverage within the CSE intern program
  • Maintaining an organized filing system and database of important contacts

YOU MUST HAVE:


  • Minimum 2 years' professional reception and customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and be selfsufficient
  • Ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, guests, clients, and VIPs with a high level of maturity, diplomacy, and a positive cheerful demeanor
  • Experience dealing with highprofile guests, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Ability to handle the pressure of a busy reception area and maintain professionalism with a solutionsfocused approach
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to prioritize assigned duties
  • Ongoing and proactive ability to learn new skills and to stay plugged into the Canucks conversation and happenings at Rogers Arena
