Job Title:
Forklift Operator

Job Duties:

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards for people's safety, food safety, quality, cost control, waste reduction and complete and ontime delivery
Promotes and follows all company and regulatory standards, including but not limited to; Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Food Safety, Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety PPE at all times
Perform daily safety checks on all applicable equipment and tools
Report all safety concerns to a member of your Joint Health and Safety Committee and your Supervisor/Manager
Ensures all orders are stable, properly labeled and shrinkwrapped in addition to any other customer requirements to prevent damage during transit
Provides prompt and courteous customer service to all customers (both internal and external) and carriers
Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner
Assists in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
Reports observations of any deviation to the process/procedure or a defect or nonconformance
Works in a professional and cooperative manner with all departments
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Minimum 6 months of related warehousing experience
Excellent customer service skills
Good verbal and written English language skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Basic computer skills with ability to learn WMS system and use scanners/software in daily job functions as required
Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure and with mínimal supervision
Good mathematical skills
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Working Conditions:

Permanent Fulltime position (40 hours per week)
Works in the warehouse, including cooler environment and outdoor conditions depending upon tasks as required
Scheduled as per the business requirements
Wearing of company provided Uniform and other Personal Protective Equipment is required as applicable

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
