    Key Role in Pediatric Hospital Medicine

    The University of Alberta invites applications for an academic position within the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. This role is a part of the Alberta Academic Medicine and Health Services Program, advancing the division's clinical innovation, research, and educational missions.



    • This tenure-track (contingent) position comprises approximately 25% time for clinical service and 75% time for academic pursuits, divided between research, teaching, and administrative duties.

    • Strategic leadership will be provided to advance excellence in patient care through close collaboration with the Clinical Section Lead.

    • The successful candidate will work closely with teaching faculty and education leads to foster a strong learning environment for medical learners. Mentorship support will also be offered to enhance professional development opportunities.

    • A key aspect of this role involves contributing to high-impact publications by successfully competing for funding opportunities while maintaining an active independent research program that drives academic strength.

    Fundamental Requirements


    To succeed as a Key Figure in Pediatric Hospital Medicine:

    • Candidates must have completed residency training in Pediatrics;
    • A substantial amount of clinical experience caring for patients in a busy tertiary care setting is required;
