You will play a
crucial role as Autobody Painter Technician at Autolux MB Collision Centre:

  • In a hands-on role, you have a direct impact on the quality of work and performance of the Collision Centre.
  • You will be joining a vibrant enthusiastic team that is highly collaborative and will support you through training to develop your skills in automotive repair.
  • You will leverage and expand your technical expertise in vehicle repair by leveraging the sate of the art facilities to complete the work required to restore vehicles to "like new" condition.
  • You will work in a clean environment, with uptodate equipment.
  • Reporting to the Collision Centre Manager, you will work with the greater collision centre team to refinish and paint damaged vehicles.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing vehicles for refinishing including: feathering, masking, sanding, priming as per insurance guidelines and standards.
  • Assist painter with spot repairs.
  • Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metalcutting guns, air grinders and wrenches.
  • Identify the family and properties of the plastic used on a vehicle to repair accordingly.
  • Fit and weld body damage using wrenches and welding equipment.
  • Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles.
  • Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experienced Autobody Apprentice, or Journeyman 35 years
  • Working towards the completion of a related postsecondary program and or training courses.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Efficient problemsolving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to operate machinery and tools required to complete repairs.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using to use power and handheld equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
  • Open to continuous learning and development.
